Website click and scroll heatmaps
Heatmaps place aggregated click and scroll behavior over a server-fetched, sanitized page preview so you can see which content attracts interaction and where attention falls away.
Enable page heatmaps
- Open the project and choose Settings.
- Enable Page heatmaps and select a sample rate.
- Copy the updated installation from the Setup panel.
- Publish the change and generate activity on the website.
- Open Heatmaps and select a page and device type.
Read clicks and scroll depth
Click points reveal which controls, links, and page regions receive interaction. Scroll-depth markers show how far sampled visitors move through the document. Compare desktop, tablet, and mobile views because layout changes can move the same content.
Page previews
Gumanalytics fetches the tracked page on the server, removes scripts and frame-blocking metadata, and serves a restricted same-domain preview to the heatmap viewer. If the page cannot be fetched or does not return HTML, the viewer shows a preview-unavailable message.
Browse page and device heatmaps
The Heatmaps page lists tracked page paths alphabetically, with a separate item for each available device type. The list is paginated and requests only the current result page. Selecting an item updates the URL, keeps the list in memory, and opens the page menu and preview without reloading it.
Use the page-menu back arrow to return to the Heatmaps list. Tablet and mobile previews use a smaller viewer width so interaction points align with the corresponding responsive layout.
