01 / Traffic overview

See the health of your website without digging through reports.

A focused overview puts your most important traffic signals together, so changes in reach and acquisition are visible at a glance.

  • Compare page views and unique visitors in one place.
  • Find the pages, referrers, and regions driving activity.
  • Spot recent traffic changes without configuring reports.

02 / Visitor sessions

Understand the journey behind every aggregate number.

Session context connects devices, operating systems, duration, and page sequences so you can understand how real visits unfold.

  • Follow page-by-page journeys through your website.
  • Compare desktop, mobile, and tablet behavior.
  • Recognize short visits, engaged sessions, and live visitors.

03 / Page heatmaps

See which parts of each page earn attention.

Click and scroll heatmaps turn thousands of interactions into a clear visual layer over the page your visitors actually used.

  • Discover the calls to action visitors click most.
  • See where attention fades as people scroll.
  • Compare behavior separately for every page path.

04 / Session replay

Watch friction happen instead of guessing where it lives.

Masked session playback recreates navigation, clicks, scrolling, and page changes while protecting form input values by default.

  • Replay the steps that led to conversion or abandonment.
  • Investigate confusing navigation and missed interactions.
  • Keep sensitive input values masked during capture.

05 / Behavior analytics

Find retention patterns and the paths visitors take next.

Cohort analysis groups users by their first active week, while interactive path exploration reveals the pages they visit from one step to the next.

  • Compare weekly user retention across acquisition cohorts.
  • Start from any popular entry page and expand the next step.
  • Use linked identities to understand journeys across devices.

Identity, attribution, and location

Connect anonymous visits to the customer journey when you know who the user is.

Start with project-scoped anonymous analytics, then assign your own tracking ID and display name after sign-in. Earlier sessions from that browser are linked to the identified user, while the same tracking ID connects their activity across devices.

Cross-device identity

Review one user's visits, pages, devices, operating systems, locations, custom events, and linked recordings from a dedicated session page.

Read the identity guide →

Campaign attribution

Keep UTM campaign data with the session so acquisition source, user journey, and conversion events can be investigated together.

Learn UTM tracking →

City and device context

Use hosting-edge geolocation plus browser device and OS signals to understand regional and technical behavior without storing raw IPs.

Explore location analytics →

Image analytics

Share live analytics or collect a page view with one image.

Generate a daily Overview-style graph for reports and public pages, or use an uncached image request when a JavaScript tracker is not the right installation.

EXAMPLE.COM PAGEVIEWS────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────LAST 14D

Embeddable analytics graphs

Choose visitors, pageviews, or events over 7D, 14D, or 30D. Completed-day data is cached, and track=1 can record graph loads as page views.

Embed an analytics graph →
[1.4k ONLINE]

Image tracking pixels

Use a transparent 1px image, a live online badge, or your own uploaded PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP. Each uncached image request records the metadata available to the pixel.

Configure image tracking →

HTML, Next.js, Shopify, and WordPress setup

Web analytics FAQ

Common questions before installing Gumanalytics

Does Gumanalytics support session replay and website heatmaps?+

Yes. Session replay records masked DOM activity, navigation, clicks, and scrolling. Page heatmaps aggregate clicks and scroll depth for each page and device type. Both features are opt-in per project.

Can I use Gumanalytics with Next.js?+

Yes. The Setup panel provides a Next.js component and an App Router Route Handler. The browser can post to your own domain first, and your server forwards analytics, replay, and heatmap requests to Gumanalytics.

Can I use Gumanalytics with Shopify or WordPress?+

Yes. The Setup panel includes Shopify theme instructions and a WordPress WPCode installation, using the generated project script and its replay, heatmap, and sampling options.

Can an analytics graph or image track page views?+

Yes. Generate a transparent pixel, a live [x online] badge, a custom-image pixel, or add track=1 to an embeddable analytics graph. Image requests capture available request metadata but not JavaScript-only engagement or interactions.

Does it track UTM campaign parameters?+

Yes. Gumanalytics captures UTM source, medium, campaign, term, content, and ID. A ref parameter is treated as UTM source when utm_source is absent. Attribution stays with the session and is available in reports and journey filters.

How does cross-device visitor tracking work?+

Set the same tracking ID for a known user on each device. Gumanalytics hashes that project-scoped ID and links it with earlier sessions from the same anonymous visitor, including their events and journeys.

Can website analytics show visitor cities?+

Yes. Country and city are derived from Cloudflare or supported hosting-edge geolocation and stored with pageviews. Raw IP addresses are not stored in pageview analytics.
